Fight Night: Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley
8.30.21
Yesterday was another massive pay per view fight night, with the main event featuring Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley. The guys stepped into the arena to partake in an eight round boxing match. Something that Jake has been training for. Tyron, is more well-suited in martial arts, however, he anticipated he could be the one to take down the internet troll and self-proclaimed “problem child.”
The fights were available on Show Time Pay Per View, and consisted of four prelims prior to the main event of Paul vs. Woodley. In the first event, Tommy Furry, son of Tyson Furry and former Love Island UK star made his USA boxing debut, and won. Though everyone was anticipating a knock out, the match was just four rounds in which he walked away with an unanimous decision win. Many think that Furry may be Jake’s next potential opponent, and Furry did call him out during his victory speech, letting the world know, he is ready. If they do pull on their gloves next, this could be the first time Paul faces a true boxer professional in the right.
Another notable prelim was that of Amanda Serrano. Amanda won her match by unanimous decision, wearing Jordans. Boxers wear really slim, high boots during their matches. A Jordan seems too low, chunky, thick, potential to slip or scuff around. Amanda? Nope. She'll opt for some Jordan 6 Rings, and make her professional record 41-1-1.
Finally, the Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley fight. Many think that Logan’s last fight was boring, not too much to see. I would say this fight was more interesting. Each party got in some good strikes. However, Paul was clearly ahead. In a ten round match, eight of them were undeniable in Paul’s favor. Of course, there are speculators the fights are rigged. People are replaying parts of the fight saying that Woodley purposely let Paul catch his breath after a landed hit, rather than going for a knock out or take down. Either way you look at it, everyone wants to make more money, and the Paul brothers continue to win.
Jake Paul invited Tatu Baby to attend the fight night, and give the loser a tattoo with their opponent’s name on them. So, it is Woodley whom should be getting the tattoo. Though we hear he shook on it, he told interviews he would not be touched. After the fight, when asked who Jake wanted next, he said he was not ready to give an answer. However, Woodley was quick to say he was ready to run it back. Paul declared once you get the tattoo, we’ll discuss a rematch. So, two bets in favor for Woodley getting an ‘I Love Jake Paul Tattoo.’ Things are about to get interesting.
