It’s Nothing: G-Unit Drama

50 Cent, Young Buck

Remember that saying; sometimes a whole not of nothing is a whole lot of something? That appears to be the case here as Young Buck releases a new track responding to his old boss and label-mate, 50 Cent, after being clowned on social media for his most recent arrest.

Young Buck, former member of G-Unit, has not had the best of luck over the past few years. This past week, Buck had been arrested on domestic disturbance charges from an incident that occurred with an alleged girlfriend. The girlfriend had reported him knocking down her door and vandalizing her vehicle. While Buck only spent a few hours in jail before being released on bond, this is not the first arrest of its kind.

50 Cent caught wind that the former label member had yet again been arrested. Being the internet troll that he is, he decided to share his thoughts on the latest arrest, on his social media. Sharing an image from The Source of Buck’s mugshot, 50 captioned his post:

👀Buck B-Unit 😆Bi sexual Unit. Leave that girl alone. she didn’t know he had all this s*** going on, none of us did🤨And He best be coming up wit my money.

Over the years, another thing in question about Young Buck is his sexuality. 50 Cent went deep here, calling out Young Buck about multiple personal things, including some apparent money he may be owed.

However, if Buck is about it, it’s nothing to him - right? Well, that is just what he had to say during the release of a new track, It’s Nothing, in response to the not-so-great reasons why he is a trending topic this week. In the track, he talks about his designer fits, how the $100,000 was nothing to him, how he has been around for decades, how the girl means nothing to him, and even insisting being above 50 Cent, with his bar:

I’m going to keep it a Buck

you just 50 Cent

If you are a fan of Young Buck, it is probably a track that you would like, in general. The first verse sounds just like your favorite Young Buck tracks, but transitions into a bit more of today’s uptempo sounds and unorthodox instruments throughout. To me, Buck has always been able to adapt to what is hott in music at the time, but it seems like his personal struggles continue to keep him outside of the limelight.

Within the description of the YouTube video, Young Buck does say that there is a new EP on its way. He is seemingly preparing to continue with his own music career. Where will it lead to, we will soon find out.

Are you team 50 Cent or team Young Buck? Perhaps you’re over G-Unit, or maybe, wish for a reunion in the near future? If Jeezy and Gucci could do it - I am sure 50 Cent could bring himself together, especially if there was a bag involved.
