A recent post and delete from Lil Baby suggests he may have a joint project with Lil Durk dropping in the near future. The two have been on top of their games with consistent releases, and have recently collaborated together on DJ Khaled’s recently released album. While Durk is the voice of Chicago, and Baby has the south on lock, the two seem to be relatively well versed in features with artists from around the country. It is only right that the two on top of their game right now come together, which may be a joint album titled Voice of the Heroes, that could be dropping on May 28th.

The duo have collaborated a few times in the past, but DJ Khaled definitely knew what he was doing bringing these two together. Every Chance That I Get, the single from Khaled Khaled, currently has over 6 million views on the music video that was released just five days ago. The duo compliments each other nicely, from their sound to really overall having a lot of similarities in how they have lived their lives thus far and formulated this super consistent blow up of a music career. A whole project with the two is bound cover all the hip-hop hits, summer jams and love songs that you could ask for.

Both artists showed love for the mothers of their children this past Mother’s Day. Lil Baby gifted Jayda three Birkins, a car, and more gifts, while Durk is constantly sharing love for India on socials, but we received voice messages between him and their daughter going back and forth about how their day was going. Music aside, it is nice to see this generation of artists stepping up to be influential people in and out of the studio.

Since Lil Baby deleted the post, it is a bit dissatisfying as we may not actually received the project on the 28th of this month, but I would say it is for sure coming. One post that still exists, is a tweet from Rod Wave, which Lil Baby retweeted. The tweet said that Rod Wave just dropped some heat with Baby and Durk. I think that is fair to say this is a feature on the upcoming collab album.

Lil Baby is known for his collabs with CMG and other artists from the south, where Durk has Tee Grizzley, G Herbo and others from the midwest. 42 Dugg seems to play in both areas, so that could be another potential feature on the project to look out for. Also, Lil Baby recently co-signed for EST Gee’s Funk Flex Freestyle. With that new deal inked with CMG, I am sure more of this feature will come into play as well.

Collaboration albums were huge a few years back. From Future and Young Thug, Chris Brown and Young Thug, Future and Lil Uzi Vert, Drake and Future, Jay-Z and Kanye West, to 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne, these projects are always a celebration of the art of hip-hop, and everyone always goes hard, since you got to deal with competition on your own project. It does not sound like May 28th is 100%, due to the deleted post, but we should be in for a treat in the near future.
