Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph 1.21.21

On January 21st, Paper Route Empire will release a tribute project on behalf of Young Dolph. The project will be titled Paper Route Empire Presents: Long Live Dolph, and will consist of tracks from PRE members such as Key Glock, Jay Fizzle, Kenny Muney, Snupe Bandz, and others. The first single from the project has been released by Jay Fizzle.

It has been less than two months since Young Dolph has passed, and the city of Memphis continues to mourn their loss. The subject at hand of the crime committed, is named Justin Johnson, another rap artist from Memphis, whom has been seen in photos with Dolph before. The artist goes by Straight Droppp on Instagram, and has been sharing some strange messages. He just dropped a music video for a new song, though has previously stated that he will be turning himself in on Monday January 10th. He is claiming his innocence, but we will see where that gets him.

The tribute album on behalf of Young Dolph seems like it is truly a tribute, in all the right ways. The first track has been released on behalf of Jay Fizzle, where he talks about what Dolph meant to him, and how he was an inspiration. The song featured Ricco Barrino who sings like an old school storyteller, and all together the song was quite touching.

I am thinking the whole team will have tracks where they let out some feelings in regards to loosing their brother. Maybe we’ll have a track or two that is more upbeat, to celebrate the life he’s lived. When it comes to rushing to release a posthumous album, or having your team come together to share a true tribute album, I think this is beautiful, and highlights what a great person Dolph was, and how he inspired the rest of his PRE team. January 21st, a review is necessary.
