The VMA’s did go down last night, and so did a ton of laughs, drama and memorable outfits. You definitely did not want to miss this night of musical celebration, but it was a busy time. Between being the first football Sunday, and New York Fashion Week, everyone was celebrating, but may have missed out here and there. So of course, we are going to start off this week by highlighting the top moments of last night’s Video Music Awards.

First thing is first, Jack Harlow and Lil Nas X relationship. They are both hilarious, if you are open to the fact that they are both so comfortable in their own skin, they enjoy making others feel uncomfortable. Of course, the two have a massive hit record together, Industry Baby. In the music video, Lil Nas X dances naked in a jail cell with a bunch of other men. Jack Harlow shared with Twitter that he himself would have participated in the scene if it was Lil Nas X wanted. Since then, they have been trolling the internet together. Lil Nas X has been currently sharing photos of himself appearing to be pregnant, and wore a long luxurious weave and purple pant and train gown to the show. Jack Harlow randomly shows up mid Nas interview, and Lil Nas X just goes “Jack, do not say anything sus!” Jack is known for saying questionable things during interviews, and Lil Nas X must have seen it coming from a mile a way. The two performed together and shared a best friend handshake on stage. It was just overall amazing to watch.

Next, of course we have some of the most absurd outfits of all time. I’d like to start with Nick Cannon. What in the world was he doing, I am still trying to figure out. He has a tendency to wear his money vividly, whether that be through jewelry, name brands, or just something completely unexpected. Last night, he pretty much did all of the above. Not only did he dress crazy, but he had quite the interesting moment on the Red Carpet - with Ashanti.

Now this was another Red Carpet interruption. Ashanti was doing her interview, congratulated Brittney Spears on her engagement, explained how she is so happy to see everyone in attendance tonight, then started talking about her long braid that hung all the way to the floor and included some large silver hoops holding different pieces together as some hair jewelry. Nick Cannon began to walk by and Ashanti just started laughing, saying she had no idea that was Nick walking by. Nick stopped to chat, in a very strange accent, calling Ashanti a Queen, and literally getting down on one knee. Now Nick, if there is one thing we do not need, is you getting Ashanti pregnant like the rest of the world.

Anyways, Nick was wearing a bedazzled bullet proof vest, sunglasses shaped like pineapples and made of diamond, a blinged out chain belt over white joggers, glittered Timberland boots, and bold, red dreads with jewels. This was certainly an exaggerated wig. I am sure this is to pay homage to something, but we are just going to continue to talk about how insane he appeared on the Red Carpet last night.

So not only did we have Nick Cannon dress up like it was a costume contest and then propose to Ashanti on the Red Carpet, there was one contender who was coming for the most wacky outfit(s) of the night. Of course, that being Doja Cat. What an incredible year it has been for Doja, and she ends up landing herself a job as the host of the VMA’S. With five nominations and a performance, it was Doja’s night own, and she did just that.

If you are to think that no one could out-crazy Lady Gaga’s sense of style, we at least have a contender. Doja did her performance from the raptors, and a strappy red outfit. A Red Carpet look, appeared to also be a sort of witchy halloween costume. Things got even more scary, when she wore bird feet as shoes, and a giant, high rimmed hat. Not even close to being completed, at one point Doja wore an upside-down chair on her head, and another look full encompassing her entire body, as if she was a walking Egyptian Mummy whom had previously been embalmed. Stunning. Weird. Magical. The answer is yes, all the above.

Finally, the fight of the night. I mean - another memorable moment that we may not exactly want to remember for long. Machine Gun Kelly is pretty widely known to be a fan of boxing and MMA, as him and Megan Fox have been seen at a number of events in recent times. MGK typically does not root for a few people. The Paul Brothers, and well, Connor McGregor. The two got into an altercation at the VMA’s Red Carpet, and the videos are not pretty.

Allegedly, Connor had asked MGK for a photo, to which he refused. It is reported that they started jawing at each other, MGK shoved Connor, to which Connor freaked out a bit, and threw a drink at MGK, and all over dozens of others in the vicinity. Connor claims he does not even really know MGK, just that he dates Megan Fox. Well, I guess he was too shy to ask Megan for a photo, so went to MGK instead. Second hand shut down, that’s tough.

At the same time, MGK probably could have just taken a picture with him. We know if something did go down, who would be on the hurt end of the spectrum. If one thing is for sure, we have a couple of children on our hands with this case. A great way to ensure headlines, though!
