Murder Was the Case

50 Cent has been on a winning streak when it comes to his role over at STARZ. Recently, there has been a bit of turmoil with the team releasing episodes without the approval of 50 - but he is continuing to make large moves for the network. While BMF is newly underway, 50 Cent is already onto his next series in the making: Murder Was the Case.

If the title automatically rings a bell for you, you’re not wrong for thinking of Uncle Snoop. This series is set to take us through one of the most high-profile trials; that of Snoop Dogg, where he was facing a murder charge for the death of a rival gang member.

During the time of Snoop’s trial, Doggystyle, Snoop’s debut album had just been released. Then, he landed himself on trial fighting for his freedom. Snoop Dogg has said that he has been waiting years to partner with the right team to help him to tell his story, and it seems like the time is finally near. How did Snoop get through this extremely pivotal moment in his life, and end up being one of the most influential people in the world? It is a story I need all the details to.

50 Cent has shared reports about the new series on his Instagram page already. He has suggested that this will be bigger than the OJ case, and that this series will break all STARZ viewing records. With something so raw and real, I have to say I do not doubt that it will for a second.

Last September, there was word that 50 Cent was also working a series about his beef with The Game. These are all true story plot-lines, that all seem too interesting for those who grew up loving these artists and trying to figure out where everything went wrong. According to a XXL article, the two storylines may meet up in one series. While I do think they could each have their own, it would be interesting to see multiple different stories and cases held over a series that focuses on issues artists in the industry face as a whole.

Just this past weekend, G Herbo got on his Instagram Story looking to land himself a role acting in one of 50 Cent’s television series. By the way 50 Cent is just bringing in people that are all too realistic for these scenarios, Herbo may just find himself acting soon. He surely has plenty of his own stories to tell, as well.

Release timing is currently unknown, but the media picked up this Snoop Dogg series way too heavy to let it go to waste. Hopefully we’ll have more info soon.
