Travis’ Next Issue

Travis Scott does not seem like someone that can be canceled, due to the intense support from his group of fans. However, it is the large corporations and events, and perhaps the government, that can choose to block him out, and stop him from reaching the levels of success he is used to. While still dealing with the repercussions of what went down at Astroworld, Travis has a new problem, within his own label.
Malu Trevejo is a nineteen-year-old singer, and social media star with just under 11 million Instagram followers. Her time spent in the public eye has been years at this point, and she has endured plenty of critics in addition to her supporters. Recently, she has been super focused on her music and allegedly landed herself a contract with Travis Scott at Cactus Jack Records.
Allegedly speaking, because there are haters who think this whole concept is made up for clout. However, Malu is just speaking her truth and that is all we can take it for at this moment in time. Three weeks after the alleged signing, Malu shared on her Instagram that she wanted to be removed from the label. This, all happening a month ago, was brought up again last night, where Malu once again pleaded to Travis to be removed from the label, in order for her to not throw him under the bus for shady business.
What is the shady business, and why does she want out so bad? Could it be the incredible bad timing due to her signing while Travis is going through so many legal cases already? Is she getting more hate for signing to the person being partially blamed for the lives lost of ten individuals? Is something else happening behind the scenes? We will not really know until Malu tells us more, and if Travis confirms her truths, but she did take to Instagram Live and explain that she felt the whole team was weird, she was uncomfortable with her situation, and was ready to move on.
Since Astroworld, Travis Scott has been removed from the set list for multiple festivals and performances, including Coachella 2022. It has been reported that Travis and his team offered to waive all performance fees, suggesting he would perform for free at Coachella, if they would let him keep his spot. At this moment in time, Coachella has declined that offer.
The trouble with an unhappy artist is definitely not what Travis needs right now, especially if there is something deeper going on behind the scenes. We will have to stay tuned to see how this one plays out.
