NBA Youngboy Happy Behind Bars
4.8.21
NBA YoungBoy has recently been arrested after a warrant was out for his arrest for carrying unregistered firearms, and carrying firearms as a convicted felon. His team feels that upon the trial, they will be able to clear his name completely of these charges, and he will return home. In the meantime, NBA YoungBoy is seemingly happier than we have ever seen documented, as he hangouts in what appears to be a general population cell room.
NBA YoungBoy has had his fair share of run ins with the law, so he may simply have been ready to keep his mind as ease, assuming this day would come again. Last September, YoungBoy and 15 of his associates were arrested in the middle of a music video for weapons and drug charges. Allegedly, the Baton Rouge Police Department had heard about a location where gang members were storing their firearms. Upon their arrival on the scene, NBA YoungBoy and his team were there, shooting a music video. While the Police Department had made numerous arrests and taken a boatload of money, the Judge had their money and jewelry in which was confiscated returned to their owners.
There had been other incidents from NBA YoungBoy’s past, including spending 90 days behind bars for being involved in a shoot out in 2019. Though, in all the instances where NBA YoungBoy has had run ins with the law, he has yet to be found with weapons on his person. Because of this, his team believes he is innocent, and states they were completely unaware of any warrant that was out for his arrest.
NBA YoungBoy is from Baton Rouge, but was arrested in late March in California. He was stopped at a traffic light, and ultimately stopped and tried to runaway on foot. Once he eventually surrendered, he was found without any weapons on his personal, but was arrested by the FBI for a warrant that was out for his arrest from the previous incidents. YoungBoy’s attorney has stated that the surprise arrest was a “travesty” and an abuse of power, since he was not aware of the warrant that existed. While running away definitely made matters worse, the attorney claims they would have surrendered peacefully had they known what was going on.
Still, everyone seems pretty confident that NBA YoungBoy’s name will be cleared upon his trial. This comes after hearing that the judge has revoked his bond, requiring that YoungBoy remain behind bars until the trial, which has yet to been scheduled. Throughout it all, though, NBA YoungBoy appears to be doing just fine behind bars.
DJ Akademiks who seems to have the tea about everyone and everything, has shared several images on his Instagram page of NBA YoungBoy, absolutely cheesing with some cell mates in his orange jumpsuit. The first image, looks like there may have been a Skype call or something, where YoungBoy and four other cell mates gather together and smile to take a photo. Something we have likely never seen from YoungBoy, smiling so hard. A second post, shares a handful of images. NBA YoungBoy is on the phone, cheesing again, with inmate friends gathering around him, and a few others around the room, where he looks peacefully content.
The Internet is going crazy with memes and comments, saying things such as “He’s not coming home. He loves it there,” “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that man smile in his whole career,” and “Never seen a man this happy in prison.”
It is definitely good to see he is keeping his spirits up during a time that can break some people. Hopefully, though, if his name does get cleared, his act gets cleared up as well. Unless he really just loves being there.
