Smack Sh**
9.25.23
This past New Music Friday, Doe Boy and Skilla Baby release new single and music video, Smack Sh**. As the video continues to trend upwards, so does the discography of Skilla Baby (and Doe Boy). Skilla Baby has been releasing new singles with big features rather frequently as of late, and the crew from this music video is holding the Mid West down for hip-hop artists.
Doe Boy has been strongly in the hip-hop game for the past decade and a half. Since singing a deal with Epic Records from SONY in 2019, he has started getting a lot of recognition on his albums, and gaining plenty of features of young trending hip-hop artists today. One of them, being Skilla Baby.
Skilla Baby is a Detroit artist signed to 300 Entertainment. He has released four projects over the past two years, and has been dropping music consistently, proving his work ethic and dedication in music. Aside from his most recent feature with Cleveland native Doe Boy, Skilla recently did a joint project with Detroit artist Tee Grizzley, and includes Chicago artist G Herbo on his most recent project, We Eat the Most Reloaded. This crew is clearly putting on for the Mid West in an ever-heated debate about which city has the hottest music out.
With these cosigns, Skilla Baby is making moves. Just a day before dropping the record with Doe Boy, Skilla shared the music video for his own track, Black Force Music, which has over 320,000 views and is currently trending in the 25th spot for YouTube Music.
Is Skilla Baby the hottest out right now? Where do you rank the Mid West for top locations for hip-hop?
