Styling the Air Max 180 Hi “AMBUSH”
6.11.20
One may find that this style in particular, does not look like an Air Max 180 at all. However, if you take a look at the sole and the air technology bubble, you’ll find that this is the perfect remake of a running sneaker, to a luxury fashion remix of the classic silhouette.
Yoon Ambush is a Korean-American jewelry designer, graphic designer and fashion designer whom has had multiple really great collaborations with Nike. When Ambush launched this silhouette, I remember hearing that men were more excited about this drop than the ladies. Although, it did not release in a full men’s size run. I can imagine that being because this is a unique silhouette we’ve never seen before, different materials on the upper than we’re used to, a high top with a zipper rather than a lacing system. Basically, a glove boot. Still, I find excitement in styling outfits for the most outrageous sneakers on the market. I’ve worn these sneakers with an oversized t-shirt as a dress, and I’ve worn them with a nicer outfit, as well. So whatever your style may be, I guarantee you can rock these, too.
Since the two colorways that were released used a variety of white, black, tan and gray, I also have a monochrome theme going on with these six looks.
