Styling the Jordan 1 NC-CHI

6.4.21

Jordan 1s are classic, but so much better when they have a story to tell. That is why I needed to pick these up as soon as they released, because it is a beautiful mashup of two infamous silhouettes. Jordan when from UNC to play for Chicago, and both color ways are well represented here. A bright blue, and a deep red, with black bringing them together, in high-top form. If you are wondering how on earth you could pull these off and what they would really match with. Well, of course we have you covered, no matter what the occasion.

New Music Friday

A standard For the SoUle look for the week. We’ve got the New Music Friday crewneck, which I love wearing oversized as a hoodie dress. It is raining here this week, so I felt like being cute, casual and cozy. Keep it simple, throw on the hoodie dress, a matching red beanie, and your kicks, and you are ready to go! I’ve worn this look out to run plenty of errands, and just hangout indoors watching movies or jamming to the latest music that dropped today.

Orlando Blues

Wrong team, but I am talking colors here. I am obsessed with this matching basketball set from Mitchell and Ness. You can dress this up or dress it down, wear just the top or bottom, or both together. Why not pair the hoops fit with the classic Jordans, and they match!? It is really a no brainer. I would dress it up a bit with this cute bag and some jewelry. Definitely a high pony if you’re into that. Take me to the game, the bar, anywhere to fit flex on everyone.

Romper Lifestyle

This sweater romper is everything. Cozy, relaxed fit, but can be flattering or shaping if you throw on a nice belt. I have a silver chain belt here, so paired it with the 3M Rhude hate for a little extra shine. This dresses up the look, and makes it a bit more edgy as well, which is perfect for the sneakers. I would definitely wear this one to a bunch, brewery, or something fun and outdoors.

Heart-Shaped Box

There are definitely still plenty of ways to dress up a hightop pair of kicks, whether it is a fancy dress or a classic bar look. This grayish-blue tank is simple, but occasion ready, and can be dressed up or down with your choice of denim and how you accessorize. I chose these distressed, mom jeans to keep the look casual for the sneakers, but accessorize enough to keep it cute at the bars.

Rosey Set

This look is back again because it just could not be more perfect. The red sweater and skirt set is one of my favorites for a special night out, and perfect for pairing with sneakers, especially these red and blue beauties. I have worn this look to holiday gathers, and to nice dinners. It is super versatile and can really take you anywhere.

Summer Fling

This look is totally my vibe for all of summer 2021. Skinny jeans and high-top kicks. You cannot go wrong. The top is plain white, bringing in the sole white piece of the sneakers. However, the top remains super cute while being off-the-should and scrunchy on the bodice. Speaking of scrunchy, yes, this top came with a matching scrunchy. I will certainly start by wearing this on my wrist, then have it in my hair by the end of the night. Classic.
