Tekashi 6ix9ine Life Updates
5.12.20
There are positives and negatives in life, and 6ix9ine is experiencing the good and the bad, from one extreme to the next. Once sentenced to life, the Bronx rapper is free after only serving a year and a half behind bars. However, it is definitely not all good, as he has been labeled a snitch across his gang affiliates, his city, the music industry, and truthfully, the world. However in classic 6ix9ine fashion, he chooses to troll the haters, and continues to live his ‘best life.’
This past Friday, Tekashi 6ix9ine released his first single, ‘GOOBA,’ since his release from prison. To drop the single, 6ix9ine went on Instagram Live, where he broke the audience record, having two million people on his live at once. Tory Lanez, who had previously held the record for Quarantine Radio simply responded, “Well, imma head out.” After dropping the music video to GOOBA, 6ix9ine also broke the record for most views in one day, with 43 million views, taking the crown from none other than Eminem.
This put 6ix9ine on a high, where he continued to gloat and troll on the Internet. He claimed he snitched because he was just over his old friends, and since he was played, he gave it back. However, he is probably the only person buying this excuse. Many rappers have gone after 6ix9ine over the weekend. Meek Mill shaming him, Rich The Kidd claiming he has more money and cars, and Snoop Dogg begging the consumers to stop streaming this man’s music, he does not deserve the attention. What must have hit the hardest, was being slammed by his baby mother. During 6ix9ine’s rant about snitching on his old friend, he did mention that he had slept with 6ix9ine’s baby mother. Well, she came pretty hot to Instagram denying anything that 6ix9ine claims, and says it is just a sarcastic cover up, to hide the fact that he is ashamed of what he did. Ouch.
If home did not hit hard enough by being publicly disowned by the mother of your child, 6ix9ine literally needed to relocate his home twice since his release from prison. While shooting the GOOBA music video on his balcony, his location was leaked and 6ix9ine was forced to relocated over the weekend. Apparently, fans followed him on the move, and his new location was leaked instantly, yet again. Though 6ix9ine has apparently millions of dollars spent on security, he is going to have a hard time remaining on the low after all he has been through. Especially, since he has yet to slow down his clown tactics on the internet.
On Instagram, it seems to be of interest when an artist doesn’t follow anyone. Or, if they unfollow someone, and if they only follow one person, or just a few, who are they following? Well, 6ix9ine now is following one account on Instagram, which just so happens to be the New York Police Department Instagram page. This seems to be another troll tactic of 6ix9ine. He should really be careful, though. The public is not having him right now.
As we are in a time of crisis, many families are left in need. Attempting to do good for the youth, Tekashi 6ix9ine made a notion to donate $200,000 to “No Kids Hungry” organization. Shockingly, the king of trolling just got stepped on, because No Kids Hungry declined 6ix9ine’s donation. They decided “not all money is good money.” This could definitely be that they are an organization that knows his history and does not want to take money that could be considered “dirty money,” because of his past with gangs and selling drugs. However, especially during this time, it feels that the organization does not want to be associated with the most widely known “rat,” and hated artist, in hip-hop. We did get a response to the situation from 6ix9ine which simply suggested his shock that someone would take food out of a child’s mouth just to be petty towards the artist. Maybe they have enough donations. Or perhaps they just live by the code.
It will definitely be interesting to see how 6ix9ine’s career lives on beyond this week. Who will play his music? Who will book his shows? Will he be able to find somewhere to live in peace? In my opinion, he needs to lay low for while now, for his own safety. No photo shoots at his place, no posting crazy lives and rants, etc. By the time he comes back out, whoever is still streaming his music today, will be over him then. The fall of Tekashi 6ix9ine. But who knows, he doesn’t seem to carry much sense.
