When it comes to hip-hop, what makes a song appealing to you? The beat? The flow? The artist? The content? The rhyme scheme? The bars? Lyrics is something that hip-hop was built from, though nowadays, people argue if the lyrics are even important anymore. To many, however, it is refreshing to hear an artist today who knows how to spit. Music platform Audiomack has curated a playlist called The Art of Bars, where they highlight rising talent who have top tier pen game. Yesterday, they released a new playlist, hand-picked, by the Rap God himself, Eminem.

Eminem is known for being lyrical, as well as many of the artists that he has selected to work with, such as Royce Da 5”9. He has done plenty of interviews discussing how he studies music, and artists, and that he knows he has to come even harder with his rhymes when doing a feature with another talent artist. Most recently, Eminem tweeted giving props to Lil Wayne for a bar on his latest single, wishing he had thought of that one first. If you want accolades from anyone on your bars, Eminem has to be at the top of this list. Today, twenty fans and musicians in their own right, get to experience that joy.

The best thing that you can do for a young artist, is to share their music. On a platform like Audiomack, hundreds of people a day are tuning in and exploring to hear what is new.
