Luh Tyler, Latto

Latto has tapped into her mainstream bag over the past year or so, but continues to show up for the new artists she believes in. Yesterday, Latto and Luh Tyler previewed a snippet to their joint song, The Grinch Freestyle, which should drop this Friday.

This upcoming New Music Friday could be the last one with substance for the year, and many major labels and artists and take time during the holidays. The theme of the freestyle expected by Luh Tyler and Latto is on par to the hip-hop version holiday spirit. The Gremlin Freestyle, but make it Christmas, if you will.

Latto did her own freestyle over Kodka’s Super Gremlin beat, and she is never shy to turn down some bars. Most recently, she participates in the XXL Female Cypher, that she curated the lineup for herself. During the making of the Cypher, Latto discussed her passion for finding new artists she enjoys, and putting the world onto their music, alongside her.

Though, Luh Tyler is no charity case. He has had quite the year performing on festival stages, making the XXL Freshman Class list and collaborating with artists like Lil Uzi, Doe Boy, BabyTron and more. At just seventeen years old, Luh Tyler has gained the respect of his peers in the hip-hop industry, made the cover of magazines, and signed with Atlantic Records.

The snippett hints a music video is on the way accompanying The Grinch Freestyle, as the video showcases Latto and Luh Tyler rehearsing their verses together in a parking lot, surrounded by crazy hydraulics on old-school vehicles. I personally love the duo here, and am excited to hear everything come together.
