Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem The Hillbillies 5.30.23

Your favorite pair of Hillbillies are back with a new single and music video. The Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem cousin duo just dropped off new single, The Hillbillies, with music video that is creeping up on 1,000,000 views in six hours with no prior marketing. Are you ready for another summer lead by Keem and K. Dot?

It has been just over one year since Kendrick Lamar released Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, and even longer since Baby Keem’s The Melodic Blue. The two have recorded songs together in the past like Family Ties and Range Brothers, which were both massive hits with their synergies when it came to the nasally sounds and quirky adlibs.

After finding out the duo were real cousins, they were the topic of every musical discussion and you were definitely moshing to all of their songs at music festivals all summer long. With these two back at again, it could be a Hillbillie Summer, if Kendrick and Baby Keem have anything to say about it.

The song includes the two going back and forth discussing their world takeover, and “Compton Cowboy” ways. Tyler, the Creator is also in the music video, and hints at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2023. At the end of the video, he shows off a pin for the festival, then points up at the Dodgers Stadium entrance where most of the video takes place. Not only can we expect Camp Flog Gnaw’s return this summer, but many are now hoping Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem will be on the lineup for performances.

How do you feel about the new track? Are you copping Camp Flog Gnaw tickets this summer?
