Asics does a lot of cool collaborations, that sometimes might be too cool for their own good. Selling a GEL-Kayano at a $240 price points likely is not worth it to many, seeing as you can get a few pairs under retail on Stock X. However, there are people who just love collabs, hype and fashion. Hence the reason why most of these did sell out in retail in multiple places, including NTWRK. If you were a popular size you may be looking at $500. Personally, I am extremely into this shoe and would definitely purchase if I eventually see my size go under retail.

Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer, known for her modern punk era style. She has worked with Asics on a few collaborations in the past, as well as a Reebok mashup. I have to say this is the greatest one yet. Super wearable, while still being something out of the norm that you do not see everyday.

The GEL-Kayano has become a sneaker lover’s favorite from the Asics collections. Vivienne puts her own spin on the silhouettes with a mesh overlay, covering the entire upper minus the heel. The heel encompasses Vivienne’s logo, an orb figure with a cross on top, dressed up as a crown. This logo is a monarchial symbol power and justice, and we do consider Vivienne a Queen of Fashion.
