BAIT is a streetwear and sneaker retailer, that always gets in on the hottest collabs. This one we’ve seen around for a while, and it is finally ready to drop. BAIT teamed up with Toy Story and Reebok to pay homage to all our childhoods with their latest release.
The Instapump was originally released in 1994 as a running sneaker. Today, it seems to be a collaboration favorite of Reebok’s. From Future, to Vetements, Bodega and many, many more. I absolutely love this sneaker. It looks like a luxury chunky trainer, in my opinion. The shapes are exaggerated and unique, no laces necessary, I love them. Toy Story first released in 1995, just one year after the original Reebok Instapump. I think this is a pretty cool fit.
The wardrobe of Buzz Lightyear and Woody are each represented clearly on their own side of each pair. The left is a Buzz Lightyear representation, from the green and purple accents from his suit, his beloved logo that you find on his arm is represented on the heel of the shoe, and my favorite part, the red circle button to unleash his wings, represented by the Instapump pump bubble. Woody takes the right shoe, with a blue denim upper, the lining is yellow with red stripes like his shirt, overlay cow print materials for his vest, patterned pull tabs to tie back to his scarf, and of course, his badge on the back heel.
I do not think you could have been more spot on when representing Toy Story in a sneaker. To get your pair, you will have to enter the BAIT raffle and try your luck. Resell will probably go for a lot higher. If you are just a huge fan of Toy Story, several t-shirts will drop alongside the sneakers. I am sure you could get your hands on one of those.
