The NBA has finally announced a comeback date of July 31st. Though we should be thrilled to have sports back on our screens, some players do not feel like this is the right time to be playing, with all the injustices we are fighting for in this world. So, as we continue to weigh out our options for the return of the 2020 NBA season, at least some new sneakers will begin to drop again.

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have been invited back to play, once the season resumes. With that, we should get to see Kyrie rocking these on court, his latest Kyrie 6 ‘Asia’, which is dedicated to his older sister, Asia.

The upper is a light purple, with a purple camo print toe box. The swoosh is sewn on in a light purple thread, with a neon pinkish shadow, offsetting it from the purple suede upper. The classic Kyrie strap ends with an Asia embellishment that matches the neon pink swoosh shadow, and surrounded by some purple camo stitched details. One tongue includes Kyrie’s logo, while the other encompasses the Asia embellishment, a second time. Where we typically see the Kyrie third eye on the heel of the sneakers, it comes in a clear, gel-like material, with the words “Year of the Female” underneath. The bottom of the sneakers also carry an interpretation of the third eye and Asia logo within the traction of the shoe.

Overall it is a dope sneaker. Kyrie does some pretty cool things with is silhouette, which is fun to see more than just a typical basketball shoe. I’m sure it means a lot to his sister, as well as female athletes, and believers in women empowerment overall. I’m going to get that these are currently looking to resell for double, since the shoe will launch overseas prior to launching in the US. I’d wait it out to catch it retail on your SNKRS app, then see how the resell market moves.
