This Nike SB collaboration is highly anticipated after weeks of leaking and early seeding of the silhouette. We’ve most recently seen that Nike has created giant pints to represent the Ben & Jerry’s pint containers of ice cream themselves, which may be used as the seeding boxes for the sneakers.

SB Dunks and their collaborations must be over the top and out there to catch they eye of sneaker heads around the world. This is a classic sneaker we’ve been wearing since middle school, so what can you do to wow me to buy another pair? Collabs always help, but sometimes they can flop if it does not sit well with the buyers. However, this Ben & Jerry’s rendition will show you exactly how to wow just about anyone with their extremely detailed and accurate representation, of their brand on a shoe.

The name alone is a winner. Of course, the ‘Chunky Dunky’ name rings homage to the infamous ‘Chunky Monkey’ Ben & Jerry’s flavor, and the Nike SB Dunk itself. On all flavors of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, a cow is represented on the creative in some fun sort of way. The faux cow fur overlays on the SB Dunk are likely the first thing you’ll notice that ties back to this character. Next would be the upper which is painted sky blue and pastel green to represent the landscape of the Ben & Jerry’s packaging. Clouds are represented on the back of each heel, with NIKE stitched on each in golden yellow letters. This color matches the Nike swoosh which has details to depict the swoosh is dripping, sort of like melting ice cream. There is a bit of yellow in the Ben & Jerry’s logo, or perhaps it represents the main ingredient, as the ice cream flavor is banana ice cream. Maybe it just goes well with the rest of the sneaker, because that is true, also. The inner lining and the insole are like a psychedelic tie die. Honestly I’m not sure what this really represents, but I just keep thinking about the episode of Bob’s Burgers where Bob fell in love with the cow because they were both hypnotized. So, it makes perfect sense to me, at least.

Will these be hard to rock? Sure. But will you look cool in whatever you wear them with? I mean, try to match, but yes! Good luck grabbing your pair, at least you have two chances before they become invaluable.
