Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby

The Barbz are lining up in position, as their Queen has announced a date for new music. Not only that, but a feature fans have been drooling over the potential of for quite some time. Just last night, Nicki Minaj shared an image of herself and Lil Baby, suggesting a collaboration is on the way, to be released on February 4th.

Next week’s New Music Friday is sure to be a big one, as we anticipate a new single with Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby. Nicki remixed Lil Baby’s breakthrough single Drip to Hard back in 2019, and Lil Baby recently brought Nicki Minaj out to a show last fall, where she performed a few of her own hits. However, the two together on a brand new track, is something we have yet to receive, until now.

Nicki Minaj shared a photo on her Instagram featuring herself and Lil Baby. They are both dressed in all black, and appear to be in an interrogation room. So, I think we should definitely expect a music video in addition to the track, once it drops. Nicki captioned the photo as follows:

Pink Friday is the name of Nicki’s 2021 major album, and she has played off of the title every since, with projects like The Pinkprint, Pink Friday Reloaded, and more. While every Friday that Nicki drops is a Pink Friday, this makes me think that Nicki may be in album mode, where her last album released way back in 2018. Now that her baby is born and they are getting through the infant stages, it seems like the Barbz is back and ready for action.

Lil Baby is one of the hottest artists out at the moment, so this new single is bound to do numbers. Do you need it, or leave it, when it comes to a Nicki Minaj x Lil Baby collaboration?
