Styling a Sneaker Boot

9.24.20

Fall is officially here, and the weather sure did change up on us strong. Not that we were wearing sandals before, but now it is time to kick your sneaker game, and your clothing game up a notch to save yourself from the harshness of this cold weather as much as possible. So, this week we are styling a sneaker boot. Sounds scary? Well, this one is as wild as it gets, but it is absolutely fabulous nonetheless.

Many years ago, at the beginning times of Rihanna singing a deal with PUMA, the brand made a variety of sneaker boots, resembling what boxers wore in the ring before they had a say and sponsors. This version, the Eskiva Hi, is a female specific metallic version of the boots. Super high, minimal sole, golden metallic spray paint esque design. This thing is sure to turn heads and have people asking ‘what are those’ - but in a good way.

I cannot even lie, it took me a minute my first time wearing these to figure out what the look was going to be. But, I got it figured out for you all. Whether you are running errands, kicking it at the house, going out for a casual drink or something a bit more classy, we are rocking the flashy sneaker boots this fall.

For Wild’n or Chill’n

These are inspired by boxing boots, so let’s get ready to rumble. A cropped hoodie and biker shorts, you are really ready for anything. In streetwear, this look is everything, so even if you are being lazy, hold your head with confidence, because everyone else wishes they could pull this off.

Cozy Kicks

This fall and this winter, we are likely going to cooped up in the house, yet again. If we are going out, we’re probably going to get some more Prosecco at the store. The bottom line is, it is time to get cozy. This jumpsuit is from Urban Outfitters' Out From Under collection and it is to die for. Amazing comfortable with a hood and button up closures. I really just love the hunter green with the gold boots. When you need to run out and throw on some kicks, you’re definitely giving off the “I might be cozy as hell but I’m a sneaker / fashion Queen.”

Flannel Boyz

Especially during the fall, you can never go wrong with a flannel. I love these super soft and oversized flannels from Urban Outfitters. You can pair them with denim or a legging since they are quite long. This is a classic, easy look to match with these sneakers. I especially like this pairing since the colors go together so well. There is also plenty of space to accessorize here. So, this is your staple look. Anytime, any day, any place.

7th Inning Stretch

You know. The look after lunch, during the pregame at your local townie bar, before the night outfit at the club - the 7th Inning Stretch look. A high waisted denim and a crop is always a look. Step up your game with this cropped baseball team unbuttoned with a lacey shirt or bralette underneath. This will keep you looking cool but causal, and these sneakers add on to that messaging exactly. To sport it up a bit more, you can throw on a matching ball cap to keep the theme flowing.

Fallin’ for You

The cutest fall look is here. A burnt orange corduroy with a long sleeve underneath just screams apple picking and pumpkin patch time. Not only will you want a cute and comfy sneaker, but the gold buttons and accessories match up just perfectly with these metallic boots.

Total Texture Fantastic

A snake print shirt dress. Classy and dangerous. The color tones and aesthetic compliment the different hues and textures of the sneakers so well. Where the boot is so high, you’re almost better just rocking a dress with them anyways. The point is to show off these badass kicks, and you will be way more comfortable than tucking your pants into them. This is definitely a brunch look, a business meeting look, maybe fashion week or anything you really need to flex a fit for.

A Fit from the Heavens

This dress top is truly beautiful, even if the thought of it might be scary. There is a quarter zip on the back neckline for easy access, since silk fabric does not stretch and has a fitted bodice. The bodice has a really nice floral embroidery with black thread. An elegant touch that does not take away from a classy black garment. The shirt is floor length wit a slit all the way up to the waist. So, you must throw on your nicest pair of leggings, and a killer pair of shoes you want to show off with this look. These boots go together so well, where you want a bit of a pop of color, but something still neutral and elegant. I would take this out to dinner, a baby shower, work, anywhere nice and fun.
