Styling a Wedge Sneaker

9.17.20

Wedge sneakers are no longer a thing of the past. First wave several years ago did not last, but sneakers are the new heels now. With that, sometimes we need some height. You can go super chunky and get some inches, but what about that real feeling of a wedge? Luxury brands are doing it, and others are catching on.

With a wedge sneaker, you can still tone it down, but your options are endless. This is the perfect piece for your outfit when you need to dress up, but would rather be comfy instead.

Cute & Cozy

Causal is the new trendy. Biker shorts and long sleeves is the look of the spring and the fall. You can easily dress these up and down by your choice of shoes and accessories. With this wedge sneaker, you can enhance the look from chilling on your couch, to owning the strip. A great outfit for brunch the morning after, running errands or shopping at the outlets.

Don’t Call It Causal

The white tee and the black denim, but make it boujee. There is nothing like a pair of skinny jeans and sneakers, but we are taking it up a notch for our wedge blessing. There are silver accents in the sneaker, so throw on your silver chain belt for accessorizing and detail. Tie the white tee in the middle front, to show off the details. A silver necklace, a leather jacket, and a scrunchy for a high pony, you might just be Sandra Dee from Greece taking over.

Shine Through

With a mostly white sneaker, your outfit should play on the hints of colors and details. I had to pull out this sparkly bandeau to extenuate the silver metallic pieces of the sneakers. Something fitted on top with a boxy short on the bottom feels like the best fit for these almost fancy sneakers. A great look for causal shopping or adventures in the city, where you need to be comfy but most definitely serving looks incase the one is watching.

Knot Tied Down

This is the casual but flirty look. Sweatsuits are in, and can easily be looked at as the hott new trend. Same thing with matching sets, which many times go hand-in-hand. Many brands and designers have taken notice, and made ones where you can be as cozy as can be when not in bed, and still extremely appealing. This top throws on like a jacket, and ties from the front into the back. The matching pants have a slight flare at the bottom. These go amazing with the wedge sneaker, which are both super trendy casual pieces. I would wear this to a causal dinner or bar, or late night stroll around the city.

Fallin’ for Plaid

Plaid is everyone’s favorite in the fall, and you can dress it up or dress it down. Going to bar and don’t want to bring a jacket? Throw on a plaid. Going apple picking and not sure what to wear? Plaid. Have a nice dinner or event where you need to look on par and with the times? This outfit right here. Jumpsuits are obviously my favorite, this one is something special. The material is a thicker soft fabric, almost like a light sweater, so it is super comfy. I love the front zipper, which allows super easy access, and a nudge to throw on a cute bandeau or causal tee underneath. Of course, this look goes great with the sneakers because of the red and yellow plaid. This look is super cute and still pretty chill, the perfect match for these wedge kicks.

Youforia

Not only is this the most beautiful knitting I have ever seen, it is extremely cozy as well. When you are wearing sneakers like these, you want your outfits energy to match. Wedges and dresses go hand and hand, and so do these pieces with their white base and dash of red sass. Whether you are going out to a dinner having a fire and house party, you can be cozy while you look flashy.

Lace Up

The Little Black Dress is any girl’s go-to for almost any event. With the wedge sneaker and silver accents, you can go big with your dress of choice. I like this dress a lot because of the silver-rings down each sleeve which holds the ties, as it matches the silver accents in the sneakers. Obviously black and white go with anything, but I like this look as it plays complimentary to the dress, and the shoes. No one is overly out shadowing the other. This is probably my favorite look, which I will be wearing to my next event.
