Styling the Cleated Creeper

6.18.20

Rihanna changed the game for females in the footwear industry, when she teamed up with PUMA to create her own FENTY footwear and clothing line. The key footwear style was known as the Creeper. This was like a version of classic, PUMA Clyde, with a bit of platform. Years later, a platform the same height as that of an Air Force 1 just will not cut it. Hence, the Cleated Creeper. This is a more boxy version of the silhouette, with a thick sole that gives you an extra inch and a half, give or take. When I first saw this sneaker, I was like what the heck is this. Now, it is one of my most worn silhouettes. Not sure why I always go for those that give me height, but it does not hurt when you are five foot nothing. If the height frightens you, I have the perfect style guy, whether you’re into a brown or black color theme.

Head Over Heals

Being cute, and slaying your outfit at the same time, is everything. This is a floral jumpsuit, with sleeves that tie at the shoulders. The bust is fitted, so may be adjusted to your liking. The pant leg is straight, but a bit of a baggy material for just the right amount of space to move and be comfortable. This white jumpsuit has yellow flowers with a color scheme that blending perfectly with the Lark colored creeper. The cutest thing I ever did see is perfect for lunch, shopping, sightseeing, honestly everything.

Sundance

The perfect sundress is here. This dress has an open back, a high slight, yet nice coverage and a comfortable weight. Throw on these platforms and you will not even need to hem the dress! The slit lets the sneakers shine through. Your matching skills are on point, and you’ll be catching eyes all down the street.

Polka Dot Killa

I love this outfit so much and I think the colors are close enough on the spectrum but far enough to separate. The pant looks like a more fancy dress pant, but the top is a crop halter making it more fun. The back has a small band with several cute buttons. I’ve worn this whole look to the bar and also think it is great for a boat cruise or a brunch, or anywhere you can show off your classy sneakers look. Polka dot haters can take this L.

Wavy

Two pieces are my favorite. So simple, but so cute. I love the flowy crop and the baggy short, because although the outfit is mini, it is still super causal and acceptable to wear for many occasions. The mustard pinstripe is cute as it kind of pulls from the lighter brown formstripe of the sneaker. I’d rock this look to the winery, out to lunch by the water, or anywhere you want to be quick and cute getting ready for!

Not So Beach Bum

This look is for when you’re going out to lunch on a boardwalk, you’re hanging near the beach, or you just dress like you wish you were at a beach. One piece bathing suits are quickly becoming hotter than bikinis, so why not wear them as body suits? This is my favorite bathing suite I’ve ever seen. A one piece that buckles in the middle three times, a fun texture, and super long ties in the back so you can wear it strapless or make it a halter. Throw on these shorts and you look like you’re rocking a hott bodysuit. The baseball cap will make it more causal, but the platforms remind everyone who the boss on the block is.

Cool Vibes Only

Casual, but spice it up as much as you can. With a sneaker as chunky as the Cleated Creeper, you have to go big. So, throw on this oversized tee, almost long enough to be a dress. The biker shorts will give the allusion the dress is even larger. Pull it together with a belt with some bling, then add on some more where you can. The boxy hand bag tops off the overall, oversized, yet fiery look.
