Styling the PUMA Mile Rider

2.26.21

The PUMA Mile Rider is a female version of the classic Rider silhouette. It is one of my personal favorites from the brand, but of course I have an additional wild factor to this week’s sneaker. This one in particular is a Central Saint Martins collab, which includes a crazy black and yellow graphic colorway, and an exposed rope lacing system. The lacing system is what really pulled me in right away to these babies, I only have one other pair like this and I have just been dying to try more. The colorway might be a bit intimidating - what matches with yellow?! Not to fear, we have looks for every occasion right here.

LACE UP!

Have you shopped For The Soule yet?! This Lace Up tee is available now in the shop, in any material or color way you like! The ways to style this up are endless, including with our sneaker of the week. I think the lace graphics were pretty cool to go with the crazy design on the kicks. Of course, we can spice it up with a teddy coat layer, a beanie, some denim and a flashy belt! I would absolutely rock this look on all occasions, and tell them For The Soule sent you!

Baseball SZN

Baseball Spring Training has begun, so I put together a fun outfit for the games. These kicks are perfect for the “lightening bolt series” or glow-in-the-dark, whatever they call it in your city! What a better match than this funky yellow design on your kicks?! I love to throw a hooded long-sleeve underneath and rock the jersey with the buttons up. I tossed in this hat for a cool factor, some ladies love it, though I am personally more of a beanie or nothing girl. I seriously cannot wait to get back to Fenway Park.

THE Catsuit

I have been dying to try Naked Brands, and I finally pulled the plug on my purchase. Obviously, matching sets are in and they are everywhere, so you can do this with whichever shop is your favorite. I am just completely in love with this brand because the fabrics are so extremely soft and stretchy, yet they hold you in just the way you’d hope. I would definitely spice up this look with a beanie and also some jewelry, which will basically just make you the ultimate baddie wherever you show up looking like this. Try to smile so you don’t intimidate.

Flannel Boyz

I literally used to wear lacey tops and flannels every night out. That was my thing in college, and I am proud to say that I have greatly broadened my horizons when it comes to what to wear. However, somethings never change, and when I find a flannel so different and beautiful, it is my duty to take it and dress it up. This flannel from Urban combines two different prints into one - let’s be real, these colors do not match at all, but it is awesome. So, I though the black and yellow side was perfect for these kicks. Spice it up with a lacey bralette underneath, some high waisted jeans and accessories. You are ready for your night out, ladies.

Cozy Pose

When you are working with neutrals, there is plenty you can do. I love this monochrome look on the top: a beige, sweater jumpsuit, with a matching long sleeve underneath for the weather situations. Keep it calm on the top with a light color bag and beanie to sport it up, then have fun with the sneakers. I thought the black and yellow would look great with this look, so the black offsets the monochromatic feel at the top, and the pop of color is not too far strayed for the beige tones, making it way more subtle than the sneaker looks, alone.

On Every Occasion

It may be our fancy look of the day, but it is all about the way you wear it. Going to a nice dinner or show? Throw on some jewels. Headed to a bar and you’re just not sure the vibe? A beanie will tone it down with your funky kicks. The look is classy but simple, so there is just so much you can do with it. I love to sport up a dress, and this look is the perfect way to do so. The dress is a wrap dress with a tie at the side, which automatically leaves a slit in the dress for your kicks to shine. I love the tie with the funky lacing system of these kicks, which kind of just pulled the vibe all together for me on this one.
