Styling the PUMA Mirage Mox

3.5.21

The Mirage Mox is one of PUMA’s newest silhouettes, doing what they do best - remixing their old, classic styles for today. This shoe just looks like it’s from the 80s, but with a modern, streetwear twist. The Mirage Mox was inspired by EDM and DJ culture. Now, I am not a big EDM fan, but of course music is my everything, in addition to my wardrobe, so I was super excited to finally get a pair. I love the colors, and although super vibrant, I think the grays and white neutralize the look and give you the ability to colorblock, or keep it neutral.

Cozy Nights

Someone recently asked if biker shorts are still a thing. Does the pandemic still exist? Does streetwear still exist? Is lounger acceptable to wear outdoors? Hell yeah it is. This matching set is super comfortable, and the crewneck is extra long, where it could almost be a dress, but not quite. The shorts are loose fitting, but not oversized, so they are super comfortable and relaxed. The colors definitely do not match exact with the kicks, but I think it was a nice choice of color blocking, to add in some colors to your monochromatic look on top. Throw on a beanie for that extra cozy efforts, and you are ready take on the day, whether you’re running errands, catching a flight, walking the dog, or cooking at home for the girls.

Set the Stage

One more matching set for this week, but a totally different vibe. This set includes a full length legging, and a zip up sweater. They are both fitted, so I typically just wear the sweater as is, zipped up, but of course, you could unzip and add a white tank to break up the monochromatic, if you need to. I would rock this look with a high pony, or a beanie, to either dress you up or down a bit more in your loungewear. This is my absolute go to for all occasions nowadays, from work days, to wine night, and more.

For the Soule, and the Feet

Okay, so this baby blue graphic on this For The Soule Logo Tee and mask are the perfect match for the Mirage Mox sneakers. The tee is a nice, relaxed crop which I paired with the faux leather pant, to dress it up a bit. I am super into the slicked back high pony nowadays, I feel like it brings some grace to the whole look. I would wear this on a casual day, or you could dress it up with a blazer and accessories.

Juicy Never Left

Honestly, this hoodie dress is a couple of years old, but still, I love what Juicy Couture continues to do with their apparel collection. I love the patchwork, the royal blue and black colorway, and of course the text on the hoodie. The font and the patchwork give me trippy vibes, just like the lights at the EDM concerts. With that, I thought it was a perfect fit for the Mirage Mox sneakers. I would rock this look to brunch all day, even dinner or whatever else you have going on. Two of my favorite pieces for sure!

Cotton Candy Sweet

First off, a matching blazer and short set is already everything. Then, you have the pink and blue pinstripes which was just made for the Mirage Mox, before we knew it was coming. I would pair the suit with something navy underneath, either a tank, a crop or a babydoll tee. This way, it break up the light colorways that are primarily the rest of the outfit. This is definitely something nice that you could wear to work, an event or an occasional dinner.

Home Sweat Home

Yes, I did spell sweat that way on purpose. The colors just remind me of cotton candy and bubblegum. This dress from Urban includes a matching blue graphic of the Japanese homestyle houses and gardens. Abosolutely beautiful on it’s own, but stunning on. The dress is very flatter to the body shape, and can be dressed up or dress down for any occasion. Of course you could layer with a sweater or a leather jacket, and accessorize based on where you’re headed for the night.
