Styling the PUMA RS-Fast

1.8.20

The RS sneaker is one of PUMA’s most popular streetwear silhouettes. This franchise takes inspiration from their running system technology in the 80s, and they have been reinventing the style in several different versions over the past few years. The latest, is the RS-Fast. I finally got my hands on a pair, and of course I had to go big. This color way plays with different colors, textures and partners. Have no fear though, we can still style this silhouette in so many different ways. Titled the RS-Fast ‘Wild Disco’ it is only right that we dress it up, just as much as you dress your sneakers down.

Keepin’ It Cool

The sneakers play with different colors including a maroon, gold, and a soft blue. I pair this waffle pull over sweater with the kicks to bring out the cool colors in the sneakers, to balance out the warm. While the sweater is super cute, it is a bit oversized and causal, so pairing it with these biker shorts will make this look feel like elevated streetwear, you cannot go wrong. If you want to spice it up by playing with the gold pieces of the kicks, throw on your favorite gold jewelry, and take a pic. This ones for the gram.

Not So Casual Fridays

The materials and color-blocking of the sneakers are so unexpected, just like this jacket. It manages to pull off a denim jacket look, while having the bulkiness, and coziness of a hoodie. The denim also is a bit distressed in the jacket, so I’ve paired it with a fitted body suit and clean pair of high waisted denim to soften the edge of the coat. This look could be worn to the bars, a dinner, or where ever your night may take you. You can dress it up more with accessories, or keep it causal with a high pony and a backpack.

Cool Mom … Jeans

Mom Jeans have been a thing for what - five years now? I never thought I could pull them off. I could barely find regular jeans that fit me because I am so short and small, and I always thought they looked so baggy and terrible on me. Something made me want to try these, because I just thought they looked so cool. Then I remembered, it is all about how you style them. These jeans manage to fit your hips, but get baggy down the leg. They pair perfectly with this super cropped, flowy top. It is absolute key to rock this look with some chunky sneakers, and while the fit is neutral, you might as well throw in some funky colors and textures. I’m making this the streetwear look of the week, by adding on my favorite beanie and mini backpack. Oooh, it is another fit pic worthy look.

Rosey Adventure

We’ll begin to dress it up here, because these are disco inspired shoes, indeed. This skirt is one of my favorites. A beautiful maroon color, suede material with some beautiful stitching, and the rope belt actually holds the skirt together. It is a wrap skirt, which leaves you with a sizable slit on one side. Of course, this matched beautifully with the maroon in the sneakers which comes through on the heel on each side. Now you really have a statement piece as your sneakers, and your skirt, so keep the rest super simple. I paired this with a pure white cami bodysuit, so it will be nicely tucked in to keep all details of the skirt visible. Of course, we’re in full-on winter effect, so if you live in cold weathers, match it with a light cardigan, just slightly off form the top piece. This is a great look for special dinners or events.

The GOAT of Jumpsuits & SNKRS

I am just absolutely obsessed with this jumpsuit. It is a sweater material so it is so extremely comfortable, the belt is a nice piece to elevate the look, and keep the shape of the wearer. Sometimes this material may be unforgiving, but it is so incredibly flattering. I love this jumpsuit with these sneakers, because the color compliments the gold in the kicks so well. I would dress it up even more with some gold jewelry, and be off to fashion week (or whatever event you’re going to that you need to flex your outfit). This is really one of my favorite looks, always.

An Ocean of Blue

If you have an event or party that you can pull off wearing the fanciest sneakers to, here is your look. I am obsessed with this dress. One shoulder, bodice slit, buttons down the opposite side. The blue is not exact, but compliments well. The buttons are a nice tan that accents the golds in the sneakers. I would grab a chunky purse of a darker shade to even out the lights and darks, be off for a night on the town. This look is elegant, while remaining super fun and light. No one can stop you in this fit.
