Kuniva Alpha Underdog 11/9/20

Kuniva, artist from the former rap group, D12, shares his album artwork for a new project that should be releasing on Monday. Kuniva’s last project released at the top of the year, in conjunction with D12 member, SwiftyMcVay. The seven track project was good, but there was no traction whatsoever behind it. Hip-hop may very well be over D12, and music in general over members of ‘bands’ going solo, however there is something about this project that people are getting excited about.

Terracotta Blue is Kuniva’s producer, who has been boasting about the new project over the past week or so. He mentioned that the project will be ten tracks long and it will be feature heavy. Though, when sharing a screen shot of the pre-order, it appears that the features are hidden, left to us to wonder whom they may include.

Of course, Stan’s will latch on to any hope or piece of evidence that new music on the way, that they can get. With that, a fan a Tweeted at Kuniva, simply asking for a feature. He said:

“When we going to see an Eminem feature with Kuniva don’t any of your phones work bin too many years.”

To this, Kuniva shared that him and Eminem do keep in touch quite often and that a feature would be arrive “in due time." He finished this Tweet Reply with a ‘shhh’ secret emoji, prayer hands and a one-hundred symbol.

Anyone reading this would assume that this means that Eminem is going to be on the upcoming track list. He basically confirmed it, but said do not tell anyone. This would be absolutely incredible, would it not? Eminem has talked about D12 on his Kamikaze album, expressing he never meant to make anyone feel like a stepping stone. D12 was a blast of success for Eminem, who ultimately created a franchise of his own, and the band was somewhat left behind.

What is different between D12 and Slaughterhouse, is it seems like D12 still all love each other. D12 was a part of the 15th Anniversary album, they still put out projects amongst themselves, and apparently, they still keep in touch with Eminem. I mean, we know Kon Artist, AKA Mr. Porter, AKA Denaun still travels and tours with Eminem, but it is great to see the feeling mutual amongst the vast majority of the crew.

Slaughterhouse became the modern day D12 when Eminem brought them to his label, literally referring to themselves as the Shady 2.0 Boys. The label was revamped with pure lyricism and bars. Unfortunately, this did not last long either. Royce Da 5’9 is a close friend of Eminem’s, but it seems there is trouble amongst the rest. Joe Budden recently had a lot to say about Eminem, though Royce helped them to squash that beef. Unfortunately, Joe and the rest of the members is a different story.

This is not the only heat coming towards Eminem, however, as Benzino recently tweeted about Em as well. The two have decades of beef, that we may have found irrelevant by now. However, he took time out of his day to Tweet that the ‘Stans’ are the goofiest group of hip-hop fans in hop-hop. Well, someone is still clearly upset.

All of this is to say that, a Kuniva and Eminem track would be the nostalgia that we need right now in hip-hop. Terracotta Blue mentioned there is nothing but bars and pure hip-hop coming for Kuniva, which sounds like the perfect match for Eminem. Since the word leaked, Kuniva did retreat on Twitter saying this collaboration is not in the works, but he is hopeful. Now, I can tell you that every Stan out there is calling his bluff, and just holding onto some hope that it is indeed coming, and Kuniva just wants us to be surprised.
