How much do you love your favorite artist? Enough to destroy public property, and risk injuring yourself and others? Playboi Carti is currently on tour, and causing complete mayhem wherever he goes. What may be the cause of such chaotic fans, being how quick and random everything fell together. On September 26th, Carti simply tweeted out ‘Narcissist,’ leading people to believe there may be new music on the way. However, it is actually the name of the tour which began on October 14th, and is scheduled to continue throughout the remainder of the year.

With an extremely large fan base of young adults and children whom love his music, conspiracies theories toyed with their emotions for years waiting for Whole Lotta Red to drop, which finally happened last Christmas. Now, the hint that new music could be on the way certainly sparked a quick and engaged excitement. Reports suggest that since announcing the tour, streams from Whole Lotta Red have once again skyrocketed, bringing people back to what they’ve waited so long to have.

Now, a new tour could mean that new music is on the way. Perhaps people that were at the show were able to pick up on any new tracks or hints that new music was coming. But, we do have suspicion that new apparel is on the way, as well. Carti’s website leaked images of an apparel and accessories collection that was allegedly on the way. Though, he took to Twitter to say those were samples that have not been approved, and we should not expect these anytime soon. The samples included mainly all black looks and accessories. While a super high price-point, much better than the creepy Satanic merchandise he tried to drop last year. Carti does have similar images on his Instagram page right now, so this very well could be another foreshadowing, trickery plan, to keep us waiting on the release date.

On Saturday, Playboi Carti was due to perform in Houston. However, the show was cancelled due to fans wrecking havoc. Videos have flooded the internet of boys and girls hoping fences, scaling walls, knocking over barricades and pushing police officers to make their way, as fast as they can, to the stage to see their boy, Playboi Carti. They allegedly broke metal detectors and after waiting for hours to get in, knocked down whatever they needed to get through to the arena.

Police were called and the fans were upset their tour spot was cancelled. Playboi Carti on the other hand? He seems to be proud of his fans, tweeting out “Cult” and “HARDcore.” It almost does feel cult-like, how hard these fans are going for a man that has not dropped an album in a year, and made us wait so long for it ahead of time (which I personally did not even like). With all the recent violent acts at concerts, and crimes involving artists performing at the concerts, it will certainly be interesting to see if the Narcissist tour makes it the rest of its way throughout without a few other cancelations.
