Megan Thee Stallion Tuned In

Megan Thee Stallion Tuned In

It has been yet another busy weekend between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. Between their ongoing battle for over a year now, the two seemingly still try to take shots at any moment they can, in order to maintain their versions of the truth. This weekend, Tory Lanez appeared in court for violating his protective order, and Megan decided to put out a new freestyle with the visuals.

A few weeks back at Lollapalooza, Tory Lanez surprised crowds as a special guest in DaBaby’s performance. He revealed himself dressed up as DaBaby’s mascot, and the two performed their new single together, SKAT. Though an exciting surprise for the crowd, Tory Lanez did technically break his parol order by being at the festival. Megan Thee Stallion had a contracted set at the event, and while it is unknown where Megan was exactly at the time of the performance, Tory Lanez has been ordered to remain 100 yards away from Megan at all times.

So, being in the same festival vicinity did breach the protective order, and Tory Lanez found himself in court over the weekend. The judge ruled him guilty of disobeying his parole conditions, and increased the bail fee from $190,000 to $250,000. A decent amount of money, but nothing that Tory should not be able to keep up with. He was warned to stay away from shows and festivals that Megan would attend, or else he could face some time behind bars for continuing to violent the parameters.

Tory Lanez got back in his vehicle and shared a story having a cigar, lookin completely unbothered on the way back. Even when trying to be slick, the internet came for him when finding a large bald spot on the back of his head. It just seems like Tory cannot win.

On the other hand, Megan Thee Stallion released a freestyle this weekend, titled Tuned In. Megan wore a lime green shorts and crop top set with matching sunglasses, and long dreaded hair. The beat is super uptempo and sounds a bit like an old school hiphop track, from Run DMC or the Beastie Boys. She speaks to her haters on the track and declares her dominance and importance in the industry. While there does not appear to be any direct digs towards Tory, you would be naive to think she dropped this the same day as Tory’s hearing coincidently.

I am not a huge personal fan of Megan’s freestyling, but respect the continuous efforts to drop new music, do her own thing, and try different styles. Tory has been dropping continuously since becoming an independent artist, so it will be interesting to see if we hear from him this week, after a court hearing about the case he has been trying to escape for a year.
