The Kyrie 6 is an athletic shoe. There are many inline color ways that won’t resell much higher than retail, but every now and then we get something really fun. I referenced the Preheat Collection about, because I think that Planet of Hoops has the potential to be something similar. Taking a play on ‘Planet of the Apes’ the lime green swoosh is dripping, with text overlay that says “there is no coming back” as if the world is coming to an end. Which for us right now, it may seem like, with Coronavirus and everything. The inner part of the upper has the same lime green swoosh with some sketch-like basketball and space graphics. The straps over the laces are translucent to give a glow-in-the-dark effect. One tongue of the shoe has the Kyrie logo, while the other is a Nike logo of a basketball, with a ring around it, like a planet. Finally, the back of each shoe has the Kyrie Eye symbol.

Even if you’re not into loud sneakers, this is one you can get away with. Overall it is a white sneaker, with a pop of green and some fun, playful elements. This is has got to be my favorite one yet. According to Hypebeast, where I came across this release, the shoe will only be released on SNKRS China next week. So keep your eye on the reseller apps!
