The Zoom Flight silhouette is a  Gary Payton basketball shoe from the 90s. Last seen in 2013, it appears another is soon on the way. This rendition is similar to the original black and white version, but with some modernized twists. The upper holds a translucent layer with a zipper for closure. Green “Monkey Paw” details peek through the translucent upper, as a giant Nike Swoosh covers the top of the toe box.

Monkey Paw was a technology Nike used on the first Zoom Flight Glove, back in Payton’s day. The technology was made so the shoe would suction to your ankles unlike any other basketball shoe on the market. No more breaking ankles in these babies.

The silhouette is much different than many we see players wear today. Though athletes are more concerned about their style and having the best kicks on the court, many still seem to wear what is most comfortable to them, and usually have regular lacing systems. However, I really like this clean, fresh look of the The Glove. Details to come on the release date, but definitely something to check out.
