Nike Zoom Freak 2

Release Date: TBD

Retail: TBD (Zoom Freak 1 $120)

Resell: (Zoom Freak 1 $54+)

I definitely was not a fan of the Zoom Freak 1, Giannis Antetokounmpo first signature shoe with Nike. It was pretty boring, it really looked like any old basketball shoe you could pick up at Marshall’s for thirty dollars, only with a backwards swoosh. Maybe it was an intro test to see what you as a player can sell, because the Zoom Freak 2 is outstandingly better than the 1.

Some are saying it looks like a PG1, but I think that is a bit of a reach. They’re both low basketball silhouettes, so sure they’re a bit similar. But the Zoom Freak 2 has much more dimension and shape on the sole, the upper is a different material, the swoosh is large and comes across the entire length of the shoe versus a half swoosh, and there is none of that ugly strap across the top of the toe box. Sorry Paul, but I have to give it to the Freak on this one.

Earlier this year, and green crazy pattern color way was leaked. It has not been confirmed if that sneaker is true to be dropping, but this one seems to be the real deal. Release information is still pending, however Giannis has commented on some sneaker posts about his next shoe, showing his excitement. The black and white model has an animal print swoosh, a GA logo on outer side of the heel, and Greek Freak engraved into the back of the heels in a different language. The bottom of the shoe is a translucent blue, where you can see the different techniques of technology the shoe holds.

More information on the release to come, but I think this is going to be a good one for Giannis.
