A De-Thrown or Another Shot at a Comeback

Well, i'm sure you've heard the news. Nicki Minaj has announced that she is retiring from music, to begin her family. It seems as Nicki had since deleted the Tweet, where she shared that she feels her fans are happy where they are, and it is time for her to put music aside to start her family. I'd say she took it down, since she also deleted a Tweet saying that was an insensitive way to go out, and she would instead, be talking about it by herself on her radio show, Queen Radio. The fans are not having this, but Nicki has been answering too many of them to go out quietly.  I am going to suggest that this is by no means, the end of the Queen. 

I know Nicki has wanted a family for a long time now. Even before Nicki and Meek Mill were official, I recall her hinting on an interview that she was ready, before they were going on tour in 2015. Then there was that whole rumor after she called him Daddy on a Tweet. Anyways, I definitely think that Nicki is ready for a family, and she seems to be extremely happy in her relationship with Kenneth Petty. By the way you guys - the marriage license is on the way. The Mrs. Petty Twitter name isn't just because a girl loves to be petty. 

With that being said, are you telling me that after watching Cardi give birth and then come right back into the music game, that Nicki is retired? Are you telling me that a day after she announces her retirement, she's promoting a whole-ass Fendi campaign? And, clearly she doesn't plan on stopping Queen Radio. I - Am - Not - Buying - It. 

I can think of two situations where an artist used social media to say they were quitting music. First, Hopsin told us he was going to Australia and was done with music. That probably lasted a summer. Did you have a good vacation, Hopsin? How about when Lil Uzi told us he was quitting music, that it was no fun anymore. He was in the studio the next day, and now he has us waiting on this album. I feel like saying you're retiring, is a call for attention, that something big is coming, and deserves attention. Although, yesterday Lil Tecca announced his retirement, saying he "hates this sh*t." He can leave, or stay, I don't think we'll notice.

Anyways, I say Nicki Minaj is pulling a fast one on you all. I'll be waiting to see what she's got for us.
